Annexair Introduces EC-Spider Plus Fan, Setting a New Standard in HVAC Efficiency and Reliability
Annexair is thrilled to announce the official launch and immediate availability of its latest innovation: the EC-Spider Plus fan, a next-generation solution engineered to deliver unmatched performance, efficiency, and operational reliability in air handling systems.
Designed to meet the evolving demands of commercial, institutional, and industrial applications, the EC‑Spider Plus fan leverages an optimized aluminum airfoil fan wheel that can deliver over 75% aerodynamic efficiency along with an ultra‑high‑efficient EC motor that can surpass 95% efficiency (over IE5 class). The result is a superior energy performance and Fan Energy Index values per ANSI/AMCA 208 that routinely exceed 1.5.
At the core of this innovation is the SmartTrack™ controller, a compact and fully sealed IP65 / NEMA 4X solution that ensures robust operation in demanding environments while simplifying installation and maintenance. The controller is specifically engineered for plug-fan applications, providing precise control through multiple communication protocols, including 0–10 V, Modbus RTU, and BACnet™ MS/TP. BACnet IP available through the standard Annexair unit controller.
The EC-Spider Plus fan also introduces intelligent protection features, including an integrated vibration monitoring system that continuously analyzes operating conditions. In the event of abnormal vibration, the system automatically adjusts performance to prevent damage, extending equipment life and minimizing downtime.
Engineered for durability and long-term reliability, the fan assembly features a corrosion-resistant design, maintenance-free motor bearings, and a rigid construction optimized for reduced vibration and noise. Its innovative box-free configuration and non-obstructive air inlet further enhance airflow efficiency while simplifying system integration.
With a footprint up to 40% smaller and 20% lighter than traditional VFD solutions, the EC-Spider Plus fan offers a compact, high-performance alternative that reduces system complexity and improves serviceability.
