Aluminum Alloy
The Wheel matrix coil is made of aluminum alloy specifically formulated for HVAC desiccant applications.

Silica Gel Desiccant
The most efficient desiccant for North America climate conditions, based on many independent tests. The desiccant is permanently bonded to the surface and will maintain its efficiency over time, even after cleaning.

Wheel Matrix
Very high precision machines are used to produce uniform corrugation and perfect lamination resulting in a matrix with uniform flute profiles. The manufacturing technology allows a uniform level of precision for wheels of up to 25 ft in diameter.

A Single-piece Wheel
The one-piece construction has many advantages over equivalent segmented wheels: more uniform airflow through the wheel, less pressure drop, and lower likelihood of leaks. Wheels of any size can be manufactured in one piece but wheels over 8 ft. (18,000 cfm) in diameter are usually ordered in segments due to transportation restrictions.

Full-contact Compression Seal
A unique low-leak UHMW full-contact compression seal on both sides of the wheel ensures almost zero leakage. The seal is self-lubricating, wear-resistant and airtight over prolonged use. In fact, the seal becomes even tighter over time as the material adjusts its shape to the wheel's contour. Specially designed stainless steel clips used apply permanent pressure all around the wheel.

Heavy-duty wheel hub with integral encapsulated bearings
The bearings are housed in a closed compartment protected from dust and humidity carried by the air stream. Units up to 18,000 cfm wheel size are maintenance-free whereas periodic lubrication required for larger sizes.
