Unit Casing

Annexair's construction method results in a strong yet lightweight casing. The frame and floor are independent structural units built separately. At the same time, panels are cut and formed. The frame and floor are then assembled to create a self-supporting skeleton, on which wall panels are mounted. The casing construction features and materials follow the highest industry standards:

Structural aluminum frame with cast corners
The frame is self-supporting so wall panels can be removed for maintenance without affecting the strength of the structure. Corners are cast aluminum or reinforced fiberglass in smaller units.

G90 galvanized floor
Welded G90 galvanized steel base with interlocked crossbeam supports, covered with galvanized steel sheets or 2" foam-board panels. An adhesive gasket between the base and the floor panels serves as both sound and thermal insulation.

Double wall panels and doors
For hygienic and maintenance reasons, Annexair manufactures only a double wall casing. The wall casing is offered in 1" or 2" thickness. Also available is an additional 2" sound attenuation panel in the fan compartment. Standard wall material is G90 galvanized, with optional aluminum or perforated liners.

Large Access doors
Large doors with aluminum butt hinges provide access to all serviceable components. A premium EPDM gasket all around the door perimeter ensures a perfect seal.

Anti-corrosion unit finish
Rooftop units are painted with two coats of corrosion-resistant acrylic urethane. All seams are sealed with urethane caulking before painting.

Structural frames for components
Fans, compressors or heat pump assemblies are sometimes mounted on an elevated steel rack. The rack is treated with epoxy primer and painted with epoxy paint to prevent corrosion.
